GET UP (AT THE O2) AND DANSE MACABRE

Duran Duran-inspired silent disco set to top off Halloween takeover at The O2 this October

The O2 is guaranteed to put a spell on visitors this Halloween, whether they’re going over it or inside it - and that’s not just because Duran Duran will be performing the iconic Danse Macabre Halloween Party in the arena that night. The terrifying takeover will reach every part of the venue, including the famous rooftop climb, which will be hosting a spooktacular silent disco.

Whether you’re into ghoulish frights or good-natured fun, there is something on offer for every appetite.

Halloween hijinks high Up at The O2

Could there be any better place to raise the spirits (and ghosts, witches, zombies, werewolves, etc.) than high above the London skyline? And on 31st October, anyone booked to take a twilight climb is in for a treat – no tricks – as they’ll get to join a Halloween silent disco for one night only.

It might traditionally be the perfect night for werewolves, but the DJ set will feature no howlers: in fact, it’ll be inspired by the living legends performing in The O2 arena below, Duran Duran.

The tickets are priced at £49 per person and climbs will take place at 4.30, 5:00 and 5.30pm on the 31st October – with a drink to enjoy on the roof available as an optional extra.

Dan Hurst, Head of Attractions at Up at The O2 said: “Our hugely popular climbs are always a thrill, but this year we’re going all out to make the experience spectacular. There could be no better soundtrack to the rooftop experience, with our panoramic twilight views set against suitably iconic Halloween tunes.”

Spaces are limited, so to avoid a fright on the night climbers are advised to book soon to secure a spot. For more information and to tickets, please visit Up at The O2’s website here. Climbs are open to all aged 8+ and those under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the ratios: ages 8 to 17 – 1 adult to 5 minors.

Spooky goings on continue at The O2

Meanwhile, back down on terra firma, visitors to The O2 will be able to immerse themselves in a programme of Halloween-themed activity taking place across the destination.

Visitors will be greeted by a fang-tastically transformed approach to The O2, with giant inflatable fangs looming over the entrance. Multiple attractions including TOCA Social, iFLY indoor Skydiving, Clip’n’Climb will have Halloween-themed offerings and to mark Halloween film season, Cineworld at The O2 will be selling online tickets for £5.99 (in-cinema tickets £6.49).

Bars and eateries, stores and staff will be leaning into the spooky season with decorations and fancy dress, and a dedicated ‘scare team’ will be dishing out jump scares to unsuspecting visitors throughout the venue.

The Virgin Media Gamepad will get a Halloween makeover from 23 October to 2 November, and O2 Blueroom will be serving up treats with a Halloween twist.
