Since opening in November 2002, Barclays Arena has become Northern Germany’s leading multifunctional entertainment venue and a cornerstone of Hamburg’s live event landscape. The arena welcomes over one million visitors annually across more than 130 events, with peak years reaching 150+ shows. To date, it has hosted over 2,500 concerts, shows, and sporting events.
With a capacity of up to 16,000, the venue has presented some of the world’s biggest artists, including Justin Timberlake, Céline Dion, Dua Lipa, Cher, Ariana Grande, and Khalid, alongside a growing roster of leading German talent. Standout moments include sold-out multi-night runs by Udo Lindenberg and Helene Fischer, underscoring the arena’s status as a premier destination for live music in Europe.
Since joining the AEG family in 2007, Barclays Arena has continued to deliver world-class entertainment and sport, hosting landmark events such as the ESL ONE, and the 2019 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship.
